BEYOND graduate student wins "Audience award" in the "My thesis in 3 minutes" competition at Saclay

Mariya Borovikova put her talent for communication in action to explain how text mining will contribute to surveillance of plant disease

Under the direction of Claire Nédellec of the MaIAGE lab and Mathieu Roche of the Tetis lab, Mariya Borovikova recently began her doctoral research on overcoming obstacles to the automatic extration of textual information from documents to improve forecasting disease risks and the associated disease surveillance.  This thesis is fully funded by the BEYOND project. She participated in the #MT108 at #UPSaclay on 15 March 2022 and earned the Audience Award.  Congratulations on an exceptional example of successful communication across disciplines!
